I am Kerem Gurbuz and today is 31 May 2030.
I can say that I am quite complaining about house prices. Houses equipped with new technology have become indispensable for people. This is a great convenience for all of us. But it reduces the attachment and longing for the past. The old is a period that contains longing in its name. As a vintage lover, I am unhappy with this new technological order taking over the home. One of the main reasons for this is house prices, as I have just mentioned. Groups of people, including myself, try to stay away from social life to meet their household expenses. Guess what is one of the occupational groups with the most social life? Realtors. Due to the increase in house prices and the housing market, the most popular professional group today is real estate. The interest in city centres and the desire to keep houses resulted in high-rise buildings being erected everywhere. It is not enough to look up to see the sky anymore. That’s why people are now looking for the peace they once found in the sky at home. Owning a home has become very difficult. I think that technology and overdevelopment do not always lead to good things in this regard. Neighbourhood relations are minimized. In the past, people helped each other with gardening and organized barbecue parties together in the greenery of their homes. Now the greens are quite reduced. There were colourful houses. People felt free when they looked at these houses.
Historical houses could make people feel like a tourist even in cities where they lived for many years. Now we have become so alienated from what I am saying that matte and dark colours have taken over the entire real estate market. Even the sun hitting the walls does not lighten these dark colours. It became difficult to see the sun from the tall buildings. Now there is shadow everywhere. Therefore, I wish for a future where everyone can see the sun easily and most importantly feel it. For everyone…
