It is strange to imagine a time when I didn’t exist. The life in Greece 40 years ago was not the same as it is today! Kids had not lots of toys to spend their leisure time. In the beginning of my time as an adult, technology was not so advanced as it is today and apart from a TV broadcasting mostly public channels and a telephone that existed in most of the houses nothing else existed. One parent was working where mothers were staying home to take care of the house and children.
As I grow up, I remember my parents bought a video player where we could watch movies like in the cinema, but it was at home and I was very happy!!! At the same period, we also bought a new pc and we were able to have access on the internet. Of course the speed and the things we can do today could not be compared with the past.
The world was a very different place forty years ago. The internet was still in its infancy, and cell phones were something you could only get if you were rich or in a certain place. At a later stage things got better.
The world was a much smaller place, and people had to know each other in order to survive. There was a feeling of community and safety, and people were generally happy.
