PHYSICAL MONEY DOES NOT EXIST
If you had asked someone ten years ago about the disappearance of
physical money, they would have probably responded to you with “Are you crazy? Cash will never disappear!”. Well, yes but not anymore. In 2030 people pay only by debit or credit cards. There is not a single trace left from physical money, unless you have kept a little banknote of 10 dollars for a souvenir or just in case its design gets changed in the future.
This transition was the hardest for the older generation of people, of course. But the government had organised a free course on “How to use cards as a payment method” going on for the whole year, targeted at all people unfamiliar with card payment, so that they can learn how to use these little plastic things. We all know the advantages of paying by card. It is so much more hygienic, you don’t have to carry a full wallet of jingling change, and it is much easier to track your spending.
Although it was a shocking change for some people, nowadays we can enjoy a fast, secure and non-health threatening payment methods that will for sure stay for at least as long as physical money on this planet.
