Helllo, I’m Zeynep Duranay and today is 26th of May.
Especially in the last 10 years, the concept of the office has gained a new meaning, with technology gradually taking over our lives. The rates of working at home have increased rapidly, and this has led to some psychological and health problems. To minimize these effects, I developed some precautions by researching on my own. I would like to share these applications with you:
One of the basic rules of working from home is to start work at a certain time and leave work at a certain time as if you were working in your office.
Taking a break regularly during this period and not skipping meals will increase working efficiency. If this balance is not achieved, working from home can turn into a very difficult job.
You should ventilate your home and study room as much as possible, and change your clothes as if you were going to work in the morning so that it does not affect your work performance and can manage time correctly. Working with the clothes you sleep in at night will negatively affect your performance.
Since you will have a job where you will have to use the internet while working from home, you should make backups and take precautions against interruptions that may cause data loss.
Take a break from watching, reading, or listening to the news, as hearing similar news repeatedly and seeing images can become a source of stress.
Try to do relaxing activities such as reading when you are not working.
Another basic rule of working from home is to work at the desk to separate work life from home life.
Working by arranging the working day as 40 minutes of work and 5-10 minutes of break will increase the motivation to work.
Taking short walks, even inside the house, during the periods when you take a break, getting away from technological devices such as computers and mobile phones will reduce the mental workload and create positive effects in terms of both health and work performance.
Care should be taken to ensure that the office chair is as ergonomic as possible, and if it can be adjusted, you should ensure that the height of the chair is adjusted to your desk and height.
You should position your screen so that it does not cause light reflections so that the glare that may occur on your computer screen does not cause eye strain.
Every 20 minutes, you should take 20 seconds off the screen and rest.
As you can understand, although I can’t always do all of the things I suggest, I try to do as much as possible and I think I can manage to make working at home as less tiring as possible.
Thank you all, see you soooooooon!!!!!!!!
