Space tourism

I was on the sofa watching TV and I saw a very curious advert. The advert said: ‘’Have you ever dreamed of going into space? Well, we’ll make your dreams come true’’. When I heard that I thought it must be some kind of activity that simulates space. Then it said: From next Monday 18th March you can buy tickets for the Livingston VI spacecraft, which will take you to the International Space Station. I quickly went to the website to buy the tickets and to find out more about the space trip.

I did some research and I saw that they take you up to more than 100 km above the earth, exactly on the border between earth and space. I got a shiver just thinking about it, but I remembered that when I was a kid, around 2018, I had always dreamed of going into space.

I looked on different websites and saw that there were people who had done space tourism 29 years ago, in 2001 Dennis Tito was the first person to do space tourism. That reassured me, because it was not something new, it was an activity that had been created three decades ago.

After a reflection, I came to see everything that had changed the world in the last decades.
